Several new courses and programs, including the Post Graduate Program in Toy & Game Design have been established by Prof. Sudarshan Khanna in 2002 at the National Institute of Design (NID). The department is an outcome of his Lifetime Research in Design Heritage in general and Toy and Game design in particular. The 2.5 year program focuses on 3 pathways – a) industry connect, b) special need sector, c) craft communities.
